Community Connection: Leavenworth Community Farmers Market

As the snow slowly starts to melt, the sweet sounds of birds chirping fill our ears and the wildflowers start to grace our presence, it’s hard not thinking of planting seeds and watching the garden grow.

Lupine, just one of my favorites!

During the Spring-Fall months we plant a handful of vegetable and herb varieties to enjoy the year through. There’s something magical about watching a seed grow into the food that you put on your plate. If you have space and the time to do so, I highly recommend it.

Spring 2015. Before the garden really took off.

If you don’t have the feasibility to be the master of your own garden, then you need to check out your local farmers' market. In our case, we spend a few hours, once a week, at the Leavenworth Community Farmers Market enjoying the beautiful bounty of our Valley.

How could you resist this beautiful bounty? Flowers anyone?

From organic produce to beautiful flowers, to freshly baked bread. There’s always a local treasure to bring home. If you are visiting this Summer make sure to check it out.
