What to expect from our Washington Raft Guide Training

Our primary goal for this Washington raft guide training is to ensure that you have learned the specialized skills and developed the confidence necessary to captain a raft through technical whitewater. At the same time our experienced instructors will work hard to make sure that all of your river experiences are fun and exciting. We keep guide to participant ratios low to ensure that everyone gets the proper instruction and has ample hands-on opportunities. No previous experience is necessary, so this training is a great chance for Leavenworth, Everett and Seattle river rafting enthusiasts to step into professional river guiding.

What to Bring for our Raft Guiding Course

The Wildwater River Guides' raft guide training takes place on the river and lasts all day. You will need to bring snacks, lunch and beverages for the whole day with you to every class. Proper river attire and equipment is needed for this course. If you do not already own gear a Farmer-John style neoprene wet suit, booties, PFD, and helmet can be provided upon request. Everyone is responsible for their own transportation to and from the river on training days. There are motels and campgrounds near each river. Please call Wildwater or check the website for the appropriate accommodations.
